Current Fleets:

Welcome to the Fleet map page. This is the latest map of the Andromeda galaxy. It is divided into 31 "sectors". Scroll down to find more detailed rules about the maps, capturing nodes and sectors and moving your fleets.

Click on the map to see the zoomed in version.

Each sector has been named, and with the exception of the above 'thumbnail', we will use these names instead of numbers:

Each sector contains several "jump nodes" at major star-systems in the sector. Each node is labeled with a letter from the greek alphabet, from Alpha to Omega, making the maximum number of nodes per system 24. For you idiots, here is a list of the greek letters:

Moving from Node to Node:
In a sector, there are a most 24 nodes. Like in SW, you attack and capture nodes. When a fleet is in a sector, it can move freely through all conrolled nodes automatically. When you attack a node, it just has to be touching a node you already control.

example: Blue's fleet can attack Gamma, because one of their nodes, Alpha, is touching Gamma.

If you attack a node at the top of the sector, and then get attacked at the bottem of the sector, you may use the same fleet to both attack and defend because it can move through nodes within minutes.

Expanding into another sector:
Firstly you must control a node that is on the edge of your sector and has a green dotted line connecting it to an adjacent sector. From there you may chose to attack the node that is on the other side of that dotted line.

example: Node Sigma is in an adjacent Sector(hence the solid border separating it from the other nodes). Blue can attack Sigma, because both their nodes Alpha and Beta are connected to Sigma with a dotted line. Red team, can not attack Sigma, because they are not connected to that sector.

The attack is made as normal. If you lose, your fleet stays in your current sector. If you win, you get the node in the new sector. You may then chose to send your fleet back to your first Sector, or have it stay in this new sector. Now, because you have a node in another sector, you may create a second fleet, in that sector. It is good to save up your money before moving into another sector so that you can buy a good enough fleet to defend that newly taken node in the new sector.

Moving fleets from sector to sector:
Firstly, a fleet cannot be attacking or defending in the current week to be able to move. To move from Sector to Sector, you must control the "bridges" joining 2 sectors together. These bridges are the dotted lines you see that cross the borders. In order to control a "bridge" you must own the nodes on both sides of it. It takes 1 week to move a fleet from sector to sector, so you cannot attack or defend in the same week that you move a fleet. The purpose of moving like this would be to reinforce weeker sectors, or if you are planning a big attack from another sector and need more fleets. You may not move halfway acroos the galaxy, either. Fleets can only move into adjacent sectors.

example: Because blue team now controls node Sigma, in the adjacent Sector, they can now move their fleet into that adjacent sector.

example: Although Red owns nodes in both sectors, because they don't own node Alpha, they cannot move their fleet into the next sector.

The purpose of limiting movement like this makes border nodes more important. Like bridges, in our wars. They are essential to moving armies across rivers. If you do not control the connecting nodes, or the "bridge", you cannot move into the next sector.
